Welcome to the Eccentric Man Channel. My aim is to publish battle reports featuring many of the big name rule systems, Bolt Action, Too Fat Lardies, Osprey Games and Studio Thomahawk. Along with this I also put up modelling, unboxing and painting videos, in fact anything that grabs my fancy and hopefully yours! I try to reply to all comments but some do sneak passed, and I try to pick them up if I do. I game out of Lost Ark Games in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and if ever you are nearby give a shout, we might even be abkle to get a game in.

The 75mm is a light howitzer in the game it has the option if using an aT shell giving it the same AT as a light AT gun 4+ so it is a dual purpose gun. Nice paint work FWIW there is no panhard 178 in Levant where R-35 served. The armoured cars there were Laffley /White AMD -50 or Panhard 165
I thought that too but I found a mention of the 178 being there, could well be wrong though. Gives me an excuse to get more toys. 🤣

I used to run a WW2 Early French army for Flames of War. They are just something different to use and a fun. Nice looking army, nicely painted. 👏👏👏👏
Looks Brilliant! Looks to be pretty well balanced too. I am a little confused on what you said about the artillery. I see the FFL crew on a 75mm Mle 1897(a fine field gun which can do AT work as well) and the Colonials you made fit with the Hotchkiss 25mm ATG. Did you mean you wanted to upgrade this to the French 47mm AT guns, either the 1931 or the APX? I think you said 75mm in the video. So, I was just curious...
Thank you! I think I'm getting a bit confused on which is a medium howitzer or light for Bolt Action. the 75mm is a light gun, where as i need a 105mm for a medium.

Interesting to see the Early Roman Imperials in action in LR; I’ve seen some suggested lists and tweaks for them and thought they might work
I think a little tweak needed on the pilum rule but otherwise worked ok.
So you manage to throw out the bells and had to find them and brake off the cross several times and then lose it? WoW who in their right mind you let you build for them ever again... hahaha
All in a days work, you don’t want to know what happens with resin builds……….😆

Jokes aside I avoid resin kits, but your video did inspire me to order the church and should arrive today and because of the trouble you had with the cross I either will put it on the last minute or put on something more durable. Very nice looking. I have always thought the 3D breed a bit chonky but as you saybin a seperate unit will be OK. BTW the French 75 is a light howitzer in the game rather than medium for that you need a Schneider 105mm. I am going with 4 x 75mm howitzer ( eventually) 2 for portees and 2 for normal gound mounts. Probably only use 2 or 3 at any one time but you never know.

My Romans were originally for Infamy but my main Too Fat Lardy opponent has now moved away. I may be able to interest John in a game but he is very reticent about learning another rule set (its an age thing 🤣)

Do you get VB launchers in these units? Looking good who and what will the opposition be? Are you going to paint some armoured cars?
Opposition likely to be my Canadians that can be very easily proxied for Australians, or my colonial Italians. Artizan don't do a VB guy for the FL but I can probably a fix one of the plastic ones to a metal rifle if i'm lucky.
